Ohio Sports Brief |
The Reds only had three hits but managed to scrape one more run across the board than the Yankees for a close win. By total Impact, the Yankees were far superior than the Reds, but the majority of that is due to all the strikeouts dragging down the Reds’ Impact scores. The Yankees had the two highest individual performances by Game Score, but as a team the Yankees only mustered five hits and two runs. The Reds pulled out the win in a classic defensive struggle.
